Why Disney Is NOT Just for Kids & Families
6 Reasons
“Isn’t Disney World just for kids?” NO! It absolutely is not just for kids! Nothing could be further from the truth!
Sure, when a lot of people think about Disney World, they think of Fantasyland with Princesses around the Magic Kingdom castle. And, while Disney does aim its marketing at families with young children, there is so much more to Disney World that makes it a popular vacation spot for:
Adults Only (Adults at any age, including the young at heart)
Thrill Seekers (including Tweens & Teens)
Even Honeymooners & Romantics
Here are 6 reasons why Disney World is a great destination for “big kids” and Adults:
FOOD! (This goes way beyond burgers and chicken nuggets.)
There are 100+ restaurants around the Disney World properties at the Resorts and at Disney Springs offering menus for every taste bud and price point. And we’re not talking counter service only. They range from eloquent table service and signature dining with wine pairings to something a little more casual to even dinner shows! In any case, the food and atmosphere will blow you away. Want to see the choices? The menus? Just ask me!
And Epcot has a selection of treats from around the world, each authentic to its home country. Epcot also showcases wine, beer, and cocktails from countries around the world to accompany the authentic cuisine. And the International Food and Wine Festival in the Fall is not to be missed where you can sample over 90 dishes from over 30 countries.
RIDES!! for all levels of thrill seekers, not for the faint of heart.
Contrary to popular belief, there’s a lot more to the rides at Disney World than Flying Dumbo & Teacups featured in the TV commercials. There are adrenaline pumping rides at each of the 4 Parks – from the new Flight of Passage in Pandora, World of Avatar and the heart pounding Expedition Everest roller coaster at Animal Kingdom to the Tower of Terror drop ride at Disney’s Hollywood studios. There are rides that will send your heartrate through the roof! They’re fun, fast paced rides, and some will even take you through huge drops or loops.
Nightlife & Entertainment -
Nightlife and Disney are not typically paired together, but they should be. The Disney BoardWalk is a great place to start the night, with dueling pianos at Jellyrolls and the Atlantic Dance Hall. You can even enjoy Bowling and a totally immersive Star Wars Virtual Reality experience over at Disney Springs. At any given time, you can find several live shows or entertainment throughout all four of the parks that make up Disney World, and at many of the resorts, not to mention live concerts (some with name bands during the Festivals at Epcot).
Sports Enthusiasts –
Enjoy everything from speed boats to golf! Fishing to Miniature Golf…often with discounts when you book a package through me.
Spas -
Disney Spas are the perfect place to find a little rest & relaxation. There are more than enough treatment options available to make spa time at a Disney resort a centerpiece of your next vacation for one or more days even if you are first-time spa guest.
Honeymooners/Romantics -
Spend your mornings with breakfast in bed, on the golf course, or relaxing at the spa, but make sure you leave your evenings open to enjoy the peaceful side of Disney or a romantic night out. There are several restaurants and great spots to catch the nightly fireworks and enjoy a fine bottle of wine together.
