How Target can save you $ at Disney
I’m all for these words: “save money at Disney” and I’m all for shopping at Target. Combine the two, and you have my attention.
If you have a Target Red Card (their credit card), then you know you have a 5% discount when you use it on your purchases at Target – either on-line or in store. And that discount applies to gift cards. Those gift cards include Disney Gift Cards!
So when I purchase a $100 Disney Gift Card at Target, it only costs me $95…that is like getting $5 free. Granted $5 doesn’t buy you much at Disney, but $5 is still $5 in my mind.
Aside from free money, I would buy a Disney Gift Card for 2 reasons.
It helps me in budgeting what I spend when I am at Disney. I can use the gift card on not only Disney purchases in the gift stores but on dining, even my resort bill. It’s today’s version of “Disney dollars”! I’ve known families that buy several Disney gift cards, multiplying their $5 per card off savings, and use them during their time at Walt Disney World for managing their budget during their entire trip.
It adds to the MAGIC. Whenever I get a Disney gift card, it’s like receiving magic because I know I will be spending it at a Disney park soon (or at the Disney store if I can’t wait to get there). I get excited as a little kid who is going to Disney having that gift card and imagining what I can spend it on.
And after it’s all spent? I have a nifty souvenir.
