FastPass+ and rain?

What happens if I have a FastPass+ time and the ride closes due to weather? (This is a follow-on to the blog "Don't Rain On My Disney Vacation"... ).

Disney will try and provide you with an open return FastPass, but, you have to walk up to the ride while it is closed to receive it.

That's good news if it is an outdoor ride that you really want to experience. But keep in mind, just because the rain may have stopped, Disney is still going to keep an eye on the weather and the ride(s) still may remain closed if there is lightening in the area.

HINT: the ride vehicles will probably be wet and the Cast Members typically will not have toweled them down, so keep your rain ponchos on for a dry seat.
