Here’s another “Best Kept Disney Secret” Merchandise Guest Services

The last time I was at the WDW Polynesian Resort, I saw a Tiki lamp on display. It was so cool, it lit up and everything! The Cast Member explained that they were sold out. In fact, she went on to tell me is that they sold out the first day! (Seriously, it was cool, but not ‘sell out the first day’ kind of cool.)

Anyway, she handed me a slip of paper and it had the SKU barcode on it for this Tiki lamp along with the number for Merchandise Guest Services.

This amazingly, magical resource can do more than help with sold out TIKI lamps. They can help with all of your merchandise needs whether it’s buying something new, replacing something old, or just seeing if they have a certain something that you may remember from a past trip. All you need is that magical SKU barcode.

So my advice to you is this…

  1. If you see something at any of the DisneyWorld stores, buy it. You may not find it anywhere else. At least take a picture of its SKU barcode.

  2. If you don’t buy it, and can’t find it on the Disney Shopping app, then you can call Merchandise Guest Services and see if they can find it so you can purchase over the phone.

  3. If you purchased an item, still take a photo that SKU, because if it breaks and you have the SKU, there is a good chance they can locate it.

When you call Merchandise Guest Services looking for a specific item, its best if you have that item’s SKU, because then the Cast Member can find information on what you’re looking for in a hurry.

Merchandise Guest Services can be reached by calling (800) 362-4533 and the Cast Members there are incredibly helpful.

Oh, I never did purchase that TIKI lamp. It was out of my price range even when it did come back in stock. They did call to tell me however.
