A Tip to Help you Pack Less for Your Next Disney Vacation
~ °o° ~ It's easy to over pack when going on a Disney vacation. The real trouble is what to do when you need to find space in your luggage for all the souvenirs you want to bring home from your vacation. So how can you pack the bare minimum of clothes and still have room in your luggage?
Did you know at Disney resorts, you have access to laundry facilities? All the resorts have facilities where you can do a load of wash while you are enjoying some time by the pool or taking a mid-day break. (This is also handy if you just dry out clothes that are soaking wet courtesy of a surprise Florida rain storm.)
The laundry rooms are near the pools
The machines take credit cards (so no need to pack quarters)
The cost is $3 per load (Per wash and per dry)
Disney does sell laundry detergent, (although I recommend bringing a Tide/laundry pod or two from home)
So you really need only to pack clothes for half your stay and wash them mid-trip. This is especially a good idea if you are going to have a pool day. Splash in one of the great themed pools at Disney, while your clothes are getting clean in the nearby laundry room. Chances are you will be enjoying the pool (or taking a nap) at least as long as it takes to scrubbly bubbly the togs.
